Darwin Experience<\/strong>: a unique journey in Patagonia, inspired by Charles Darwin’s historic voyage<\/strong>, who explored the Santa Cruz River in 1834. It combines history, nature, and adventure in an unforgettable day that explores the most authentic landscapes of southern Patagonia. <\/p>\n

The excursion begins with pick-up at accommodations in El Calafate starting at 9:00 am<\/strong>, to embark on a journey in 4×4 vehicles along the mythical Route 40, crossing 40 km to reach the Santa Cruz River, the starting point of the journey.<\/p>\n

There, certified guides provide a technical safety and environmental interpretation talk, while participants are equipped with Gore-Tex dry suits, gloves, boots, and life jackets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Then begins the navigation in double kayak, descending 15 km downstream for approximately 90 minutes<\/strong>, in an imposing natural environment where geological formations, birds, and native fauna are observed. Each section of this tour revives Darwin’s explorer spirit. <\/p>\n

After completing the kayak trip, you will arrive at Estancia R\u00edo Bote, where a Patagonian lunch awaits on the banks of the river<\/strong>. Then, the return trip begins in a 4×4 (65 km) to El Calafate. <\/p>\n
