Description
Enjoy an exclusive experience at the End of the World with the comfort version of the Laguna Esmeralda trek, an experience designed for those looking to combine adventure, natural landscapes, and greater comfort. This low-difficulty hike stands out for offering direct contact with Fuegian nature, adding the comfort of a mountain dome specially equipped for visitors.
The activity begins with transportation from your hotel in Ushuaia, where you will be picked up in comfortable vehicles with mountain guides. From there, you will travel along National Route No. 3 to the entrance of the trail. If terrain conditions require it, the necessary technical equipment, such as crampons and poles, will be provided to ensure a safe hike.
The trek takes place along a well-defined 10 km trail that crosses lenga forests, peat areas, beaver-built dams, and small streams, entering the Lasifashaj Valley. Depending on the season, the surroundings may be covered in snow, providing a unique and enchanting natural setting.
After traveling approximately 5 km, you will arrive at Laguna Esmeralda, a glacial lake recognized for the intense colors of its waters and the imposing landscape of mountains and glaciers that surround it. At this point, you will experience the highlight of the excursion: exclusive access to the mountain dome.
Inside the dome, passengers enjoy a hot lunch in a warm and comfortable environment, surrounded by nature and with privileged views, making this hike a truly special experience.
After the break in the dome, the return begins, walking along the same path to the meeting point with the vehicle, which will take you back to your hotels in the city of Ushuaia.
