Description
Experience a unique combination of adventure, history, and nature on a trekking day to the summit of Cerro Frías.
The day begins with transfer from your hotel in El Calafate starting at 8:30 am to Estancia Alice. After a technical talk and lunch pack delivery, the trek begins towards the Leñador Refuge, where we make our first rest stop.
The trail enters a native Lenga forest, crossing unique landscapes and gradually gaining altitude. After a demanding ascent, the environment opens completely, offering stunning views of the Cordón de los Cristales, the Centinela River valley, and the Torres del Paine.
Upon reaching the summit, 1,095 meters above sea level, the landscape unfolds in a 360° panoramic view: Argentino Lake, the Baguales, the Andes Mountains, and the majestic Cerro Fitz Roy.
The descent includes stops at historical refuges to rest, hydrate, and enjoy a Patagonian lunch pack, following alternative trails that show other perspectives of the hill. Upon returning to the main house of the estancia, a delicious snack in the quincho will be the closing of this day.
