Description
Safari Azul is designed for those who want to sail in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier and get close to the glacial ice for a unique and unforgettable experience.
If the tour is booked with transfer, it begins in El Calafate with pick-up from your hotel to go to Los Glaciares National Park. If the transfer is not included, you must be at Puerto Bajo las Sombras at the time indicated previously.
Upon arrival at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, just 7 km from the walkways, you will embark to cross the Brazo Rico of Lake Argentino. After a 20-minute navigation, disembark on the opposite shore to begin the walk.
The walk, of approximately 30 minutes, runs through a natural terrain of sand and stones, with some slopes and stairs, along 1.5 km. The route combines the lake shore and a lush forest with permanent views of the southern wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Once next to the glacier, you can fully enjoy the intense blue and white colors of the ice.
After the walk, return to the pier and take a boat trip in front of the south face of the glacier, appreciating every detail of its imposing icy wall from the water.
If the transfer service was hired, the bus will take the participants to the walkways, where they will have 2 hours to enjoy the panoramic view.
Finally, return to El Calafate crossing the Patagonian steppe, with the memory and energy of a unique glacier in the world.
The excursion takes place in a natural environment, so the climatic conditions and the characteristics of the glacier and its surroundings change daily, but the activity is carried out whenever safety conditions allow.
