Description
An unforgettable experience in front of one of the most impressive natural wonders on the planet. The Perito Moreno Kayak Experience invites you to paddle in the waters of Lago Argentino, in front of the imposing Perito Moreno Glacier, combining adventure, nature, and an intimate connection with this unique setting.
This excursion allows you to experience the glacier from a completely different perspective: navigating in double kayaks in front of its gigantic ice walls, feeling the immensity and silence of the Southern Patagonia. With the safety and guidance of specialized guides, participants paddle among icebergs of different sizes and observe the glacier calving from a safe distance.
If you have booked the tour with transfer from your hotel in El Calafate, the pick up will begin at 8:00 a.m. Those who do not have the transfer service must be at the lower parking lot of the Perito Moreno Glacier, at the Mil Outdoor office, by 10:00 a.m. There, the team of guides welcomes the participants with a technical and safety briefing, in addition to providing the complete equipment (dry suit, gloves, boots, life jacket, and double kayak).
Once ready, the adventure begins: a navigation of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier, an incomparable visual spectacle.
During the tour, the guides interpret the environment, recounting the history, formation, and dynamics of this ice colossus that advances day by day on Lago Argentino.
Back on land, participants enjoy a hot drink and a snack.
At the end of the activity, the return to the city of El Calafate begins around 5:00 p.m., after having enjoyed a truly unique kayaking experience in front of this emblematic glacier.
