Description
The Nautical Safari is a unique experience to contemplate the Perito Moreno Glacier from a totally different perspective: aboard comfortable boats, you will navigate the Lago Rico admiring the imposing ice wall and the icebergs that break off from the glacier.
The excursion begins at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, located on Route 11, Km 70.9, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from El Calafate and only 7 km from the glacier. Passengers must arrive at the port on their own, where they will embark to begin the navigation.
For 1 hour, you will travel along Lago Rico, approaching the southern wall of the glacier, observing its colors, shapes, and continuous ice detachments. Just 400 meters from the wall, the boat stops for a few minutes, allowing you to appreciate every detail of this magnificent natural phenomenon.
