Description

Calafate Night Tour is a unique nighttime experience that combines astronomy, photography, and fun in the Patagonian steppe. Accompanied by an astronomer with over 10 years of experience, you will learn about the history of astronomy, how to read the sky, take astrophotography, and have fun with light painting under one of the clearest skies in the world.

During the excursion, the astronomer will share their knowledge of constellations and the legends that accompany them, teaching you to identify celestial bodies and interpret the movements of the stars. It is an activity that combines learning, contemplation, and fun in an incomparable natural environment.

The departure begins with a transfer from your hotel in El Calafate at 7:30 PM to Estancia Cruz Aike, located 45 km from the city. After dinner, participants can observe the Moon, planets, nebulae, star clusters, and the brightest stars in the night sky through telescopes.

For approximately 2 hours, you will travel through the Patagonian steppe for stargazing in the open sky, with guidance on the use of telescopes. Participants will have the opportunity to do astrophotography and experiment with light painting.
