Live a unique experience exploring one of the most fascinating corners of Los Glaciares National Park: the Mayo Channel of Lake Argentino. The Mayo Spirit Trek combines navigation and hiking in hardly accessible settings, where a special microclimate generates lush vegetation, different from the rest of the park.

If you book the tour with transfer from El Calafate, we will pick you up from your hotel from 8:00 a.m. to transfer you to Puerto de Punta Bandera, from where you will begin sailing through the Ice Floe Channel and enter the Mayo Sound of Lake Argentino. The day begins by sailing to Bahía Toro, where an interpretive walk of about 700 meters is carried out through the Andean Patagonian forest to a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lengas and coihues. Then continue to Cerro Negro for a 1 km walk along a meltwater river to the Black Glacier, a hanging glacier that feeds crystal clear waterfalls.
We stay there for a while to contemplate the surroundings before returning to the boat and starting the last stage of the trip.

During the return voyage, lunch is served on board as the boat enters the Ice Floe Channel in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Finally, you will disembark at Puerto Moreno to tour the walkways, being able to explore them for 2 hours.

To end the tour, you will return to the boat that will take you back to Puerto de Punta Bandera and then back to your hotel in El Calafate, with an estimated arrival at 6:00 p.m., after having experienced sailing, trekking and visiting the Mayo and Negro hanging glaciers.
