Description

Experience one of the most iconic and challenging trekking experiences in Argentine Patagonia. This excursion of high physical demand takes you to the iconic Laguna de los Tres, located at the foot of the imposing Mount Fitz Roy, on a full-day tour with a specialized mountain guide and transfers included from El Calafate.

The tour is designed for travelers in excellent physical condition who are looking to go beyond the traditional circuits and access unique mountain landscapes, traversing trails of great beauty with privileged views of the Fitz Roy and Torre hills, hanging glaciers, and Andean valleys.

The adventure begins early with the transfer from El Calafate along the mythical Route 40, bordering Lake Viedma with the Andes Mountains as a backdrop, until reaching El Chaltén. From there, continue to Estancia El Pilar, the starting point of the trek.

The trek totals approximately 20 km and 9 hours round trip. The first section advances gently to Poincenot Camp, where the Río Blanco is crossed. From there begins the most demanding section, with a greater elevation gain, which culminates in the spectacular Laguna de los Tres. At this privileged point, enjoy the included packed lunch, with direct views of the base of Fitz Roy.

The return is made descending through Laguna Capri towards El Chaltén, where the vehicle waits for the transfer back to El Calafate, closing an unforgettable day in one of the most impressive landscapes of southern Argentina.
